Is eMedVisa an agent or a facilitator?

No. We are a self-service platform. You keep your passport, you file your own application, and you decide whether you ever want a human involved. If you do, you buy one fixed-price job — never a share of your treatment cost.

Do I have to pay to see my checklist?

No. The requirement checker, the 7-stage tracker, the document locker and your questions are free with no card. Paid help is optional and always priced per job.

How do you make money?

Two ways, both disclosed. Patients pay a flat $10 when they want a stage handled (or $49 for all seven), or take Golden Concierge. And when you ask us to introduce you to a hospital, that hospital may pay us a referral fee — it never changes your treatment price, and we always show you estimates from more than one hospital.

Do you guarantee my visa will be approved?

No, and nobody honestly can — the decision belongs to the Indian High Commission or the visa portal. What we do is remove the avoidable reasons for refusal: wrong photo spec, an invitation letter that omits attendants, unlinked attendant applications, missing proof of funds.

How long does an Indian medical visa take?

For most passports the e-Medical visa decision lands in 3 to 10 working days once you have submitted a complete application. The part that actually delays families is the hospital invitation letter, which is why we treat it as its own stage.

Do I need a hospital invitation letter (VIL)?

Yes, for a medical visa India expects a letter from the treating hospital. Ask an NABH-accredited hospital's international patient desk, and make sure the letter names your attendants too.

Can my family travel with me?

Accepted Answer

Up to two attendants, on a separate MED-X visa. They must be your spouse or blood relatives, each files their own application quoting your MED application ID, and their visa cannot outlast yours.

Can three relatives come as attendants?

Not on MED-X. India allows a maximum of two attendants per patient — a third relative needs a different visa category, usually a tourist visa, applied for on its own merits.

Why do attendant visas get refused?

Almost always one of four things: applying before the patient's application ID exists, an invitation letter naming only the patient, relationship proof with no notarised English translation, or more than two attendants on one file.

Who can see the documents I upload?

Only you, from your signed-in account. Files sit in a private locker with no public links. If you ask a specialist to review a document, that review is scoped to the file you point them at.

Do you ask for my passport or original documents?

Never. We never take custody of a passport, and we never ask you to courier originals to us. Anyone in this industry who does should worry you.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Email us from your account address and we delete your applications, tasks and uploaded files. See the privacy page for what we keep for accounting and for how long.

What does help on a stage cost?

A flat $10 per stage, whatever the stage — a document pre-check, a hospital VIL chase, a rejection rescue, all $10. If you would rather be covered for the whole journey, the All-Stage Pass is $49 for unlimited assists across all 7 stages.

What happens if my visa is refused?

You keep the tracker and every document, and the rejection rescue assist is the same flat $10 — we diagnose the exact cause and prepare the corrected submission. An assist already delivered is not refundable, because the work was done.

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Any assist you have paid for but we have not started is refunded in full, no questions asked, and the All-Stage Pass is refundable before your first assist. Golden Concierge is refundable pro-rata before we file with the High Commission. Ask on WhatsApp and we action it.
